Loyiso Gola’s unique sense of humour, affinity towards openly frank and observational commentary has carved him into a comedy genius elevating his status to be one of South Africa’s most talented comedians. At the age of 25 he has already achieved what no other comedian in the country has by winning a South African Comedy Award as well as having been nominated for the Best Comedian of the Year Award at the Stars of Mzansi Awards 2008.
With a successful one man show “Loyiso Gola for President”, a co-hosting credit in a television series alongside comedy legend Pieter Dirk Uys, having played host to both the Metro Music Awards and the South African Music Awards, been the opening act for international superstars Russell Peters and Sugar Sammy on their South Africa tours as well as having performed in London, Dubai and New York – Loyiso has carved an incredibly difficult path to follow.
Today you can find Loyiso Gola performing at numerous corporate functions, live shows and club gigs all over the country. He is now recognized and lauded wherever he performs and is sure to grace the higher echelons of comedy talent in South Africa for a long time to come.
